U.S. 42 (Brownsboro Road) bridge work also scheduled
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (Sept. 9, 2024) – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) advises motorists of overnight lane and ramp closures on Interstate 264 (Watterson Expressway) beginning Tuesday, Sept. 10, in Jefferson County.
Alternating lane closures will occur on I-264 East from mile point 21.6 to mile point 22.4 (near U.S. 42/Brownsboro Road) beginning Tuesday, Sept. 10, at 7 p.m., through Wednesday, Sept. 11, at 6 a.m. Additionally, the I-264 East on-ramp from U.S. 42 (Brownsboro Road) will be closed from 9 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, through Wednesday, Sept. 11, at 6 a.m. The lane and ramp closures are necessary as contract crews work to patch asphalt pavement.
Alternating lane closures will take place on the U.S. 42 (Brownsboro Road) bridge over I-264 from 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 11, through 6 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 12. The lane closures are necessary as contract crews apply an asphalt overlay to the U.S. 42 (Brownsboro Road) bridge.
Drivers should heed signage, use caution and expect delays while traveling through the work zone.
