Mental health advocates invite everyone to participate in Louisville’s third annual MindFEST event from 12:00 to 6:00pm, May 26, at Roots 101 African American Museum (124 N. 1^st St.) MindFEST is a free mind-strengthening festival infused with music, food, entertainment, art, yoga, vendors and more. The event returns during Mental Health Awareness Month, a time to elevate awareness of the importance of mental health and wellness.

This year’s theme “Breaking Stigmas, Sharing Strength” will focus on veterans’ mental health. Attendees will get to hear from a panel of eight veterans who will share their personal mental health experiences and address the unique challenges faced by those who have served our country.

• O-059-24: Neighborhood Development Funds for the Poorcastle Music Festival scheduled for May 17-19 in Breslin Park.
• O-077-24: Neighborhood Development Funds to relocate the Food Literacy Project farm.
• O-084-24: Neighborhood Development Funds for the Annual Dirt Bowl Basketball Tournament in Shawnee Park beginning June 8.

The Clean Collaborative Crew Clean Up

From April 15 through May 10, they removed 1,784 bags of litter, 67 tires, and 251 other items from 646.06 curb miles and completed 38 service requests including these areas in District 12:

• Greenbelt Hwy from Lions Arms Dr to Lower River Rd- 19 Bags and 7 Other Items
• Valley Station Rd from Dixie Hwy to Valley Station Rd- 2 Bags
• Lower Hunters Trace from Greenbelt Hwy to Dixie Hwy- 10 Bags and 2 Other Items
