Liberian lunch, chat about immigrant owned restaurants and Metro TV with CM Mulvihill

lunch at Wolo

Above, left to right, were Amos Izerimana, Director of Office of Equity/Immigrant Affairs, Sonnie Monger, owner of Wologisi Restaurant, Councilman Mulvihill, and Jody Hamilton, Communications Specialist, Office of Equity, at Wologisi Restaurant.

A discussion on immigrant-owned restaurants took place over lunch earlier this week at a Liberian restaurant in District 10. Sonnie Monger, host and owner of Wologisi Restaurant, has been in business approximately three years at 3707 Klondike Lane. The discussion was recorded by Metro TV, as seen in the above photo.

Councilman Mulvihill enjoyed meeting with Sonnie as well as Amos Izerimana, Director of Office of Equity/Immigrant Affairs and Jody Hamilton, Communications Specialist, Office of Equity. This discussion was recorded and will appear on Metro TV. It is the first of several to follow. They will be rolling out a “passport” directory of immigrant owned restaurants in Louisville soon.
