A Message from Jeff Noble, Legislative Aide to Council Member Brent T. Ackerson

A MESSAGE FROM JEFF NOBLE

LEGISLATIVE AIDE TO COUNCIL MEMBER BRENT T. ACKERSON

To the constituents of the 26th Metro Council District -

After a great deal of consideration and many discussions, I have decided it is time to retire from full time work.  I’ve enjoyed my work for Councilman Ackerson and serving the constituents of the 26th Metro Council District since 2009, when he was first elected and hired me as his Legislative Aide.

Over the years, I have spoken with many of you on the phone or in person, sometimes at community meetings or on visits to your homes or neighborhoods to discuss issues arising in the 26th District and elsewhere.  I’ve tried to serve each of you in a professional manner to arrive at resolutions on whatever was presented to be done.  I think I was mostly successful in that but there were times I may not have done everything to everyone’s satisfaction.  In the end, I’ve tried to work things out as best I could.

The 26th District is a diverse area of territory and people, from St. Matthews to Bon Air to Hikes Point to Houston Acres to Six Mile to Breckenridge Estates to Stony Brook to Jeffersontown to South Hurstbourne Parkway to Watterson Trail to Governour’s Square to St. Gabriel, and all points in between.  Councilman Ackerson has worked over the years to address safety issues, build and rebuild sidewalks, pave roads, fill potholes, renovate parks, clean drainage areas, all while working with 25 other council members and the mayors and their administrations down at City Hall.  It makes for an interesting work life.

There will be a new Legislative Aide in the next few weeks and we will be making an introduction soon.  Our District  Liaison, Michael Garton, will continue in his role.

Thank you to all of you for our interactions and friendships, and especially thanks to Councilman Ackerson for a very interesting and enjoyable fifteen years of full time employment.

Peace.
