 Community Cleanup Event in Valley Station
On Sunday, February 18, 2024, a group of concerned citizens gathered at the parking lot of Valley Dairy Freeze to participate in a community cleanup event. The event was an informal and voluntary activity, not sponsored or endorsed by any organization. The group picked up litter and trash alongside Valley Station Road and nearby ditches.
It’s inspiring to see members of our community come together to make a positive impact. The event was a great opportunity for the community to come together and work towards making our neighborhood cleaner and greener.
We hope that this event will inspire others to take similar initiatives and work towards making our neighborhood a better place to live.

Lunar New Year Celebration in Our Community
On February 11th, our community came together to celebrate the new Lunar New Year. The eventm at the Buddha Blesses Temple on 3rd Street Rd, was a beautiful reminder of the importance of unity and gratitude in our lives. The celebration was attended by a diverse group of people who embraced traditions that symbolize renewal, reflection, and hope.

 Celebrating Eddie Lee Brooks’ Retirement
On February 4th, our community came together to celebrate Eddie Lee Brooks’ retirement after 44 years as the Children’s Minister at Valley View Church. The event was attended by a large gathering of friends, family, colleagues, and church members who came to honor her profound impact on our community and the many lives she’s touched.
Eddie Lee has been an integral part of our community for over four decades, and her legacy of dedication and love will always be remembered. She has touched countless lives through her work as a Children’s Minister, and her contributions to our community will never be forgotten.
The event was held at the Valley View Church and featured a variety of activities, including speeches from Eddie Lee’s colleagues and friends, a slideshow, and a reception with refreshments.
Eddie Lee’s retirement is a bittersweet moment for our community, as we will miss her dearly. However, we are grateful for the opportunity to have worked alongside her over the years and to have witnessed the profound impact she has had on our community.
