Big Lots is celebrating the opening of its newest Big Lots Home store in District 10 on Saturday, October 7 at 4025 Poplar Level Road, and you're invited!

"Congratulations to Big Lots on the grand opening". Councilman Mulvihill said. "On behalf of the neighbors and community, we appreciate the commitment to and investment in our district. We wish you much success."

The ribbon cutting ceremony will begin at 8:45 a.m. And we have been informed a free $10 gift card will be given to the first 100 customers and a free throw blanket will be given to the first 50 customers.

Big Lots, Inc., is one of America’s largest home discount retailers and offers selections of home décor and furniture.

The opening of the store is a win for the Poplar Level Road corridor and for everyone who has worked to revitalize the former Kmart property, including the folks at Louisville Metro Economic Development.

Intersections at Hikes Lane and Goldsmith Lane and Hikes at Downing Avenue closed through October 9

Through Monday, October 9, the Hikes Lane and Downing Avenue intersection will be closed for the Hikes Lane Pavement Rehabilitation project. Traffic will be detoured to Chevy Chase Road as seen in the map below.
