Dear District 25 friends and neighbors,
I am proud to say that we were finally able to defeat the single-use plastics ordinance that would have imposed unnecessary regulations and fines upon small businesses here in Louisville. On Thursday, the Metro Council unanimously adopted my substitution resolution on single-use plastics that would encourage the Metro-led creation of graphics for use by businesses on proper donation and disposal of unwanted utensils.
Also, mark your calendars for our first District 25 Town Hall on October 25 at Southwest Regional Library! I will be there to give updates and answer questions, alongside other Metro public servants, and a very special guest (stay tuned). I hope to see you all there.
As always, please feel free to reach out to my office with any questions and comments.
Sincerely,
Khalil Batshon |
