Per Metro Council Resolution, September is Law Enforcement Appreciation Month

Metro Council is recognizing the selflessness and courage of the city’s police officers and law enforcement professionals who have bravely continued to meet the call of duty to ensure the security of our neighborhoods and communities at the risk of their own personal safety.

The Council encourages residents and businesses in Metro to show their appreciation to police officers and law enforcement professionals through acts of kindness and appreciation to those protecting our community.

In District 18 consider showing your appreciation to the LMPD 8th & 6th Divisions! Some suggestions would be to bring them lunch, thank you cards, dropping off snacks, drinks or even gift cards. You can also support our police by making a donation to the Metro Police Foundation. To make a donation go to "saferlouisville.org/donate" Any and all acts of kindness will be appreciated!
