Family S.T.E.A.M. Day returns to the South Central Regional Library

Saturday, September 30, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Louisville, Ky. (September 14, 2023) -- The Louisville Free Public Library’s annual Family S.T.E.A.M. Day returns to the South Central Regional Library, 7300 Jefferson Boulevard, on Saturday, September 30, from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. This FREE family-friendly event offers amazing presentations and hands-on activities to get kids excited about Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math.

This year’s S.T.E.A.M. Day includes Southland Dairy’s mobile classroom (with a real cow), Kentucky Science Center exploring the human body, a look at local wildlife with Louisville Nature Center, virtual reality and robotics with Central Creativity, and sun-gazing with the Louisville Astronomical Society’s solar telescopes. Irving Materials will be back to show kids how to make concrete and KMAC will lead art-making. Plus, take a selfie with our special guests from the Princesses of Louisville – Ariel and Eric from the Little Mermaid.

Capital Budget Report

• D25 Windsor Park Improvements - This project creates a vehicle path to the back portion of the Park, supports development of shade structure, pickelball courts, trails, parking or other priorities recommended in the Park's Master Plan.
• D25 3rd Street Sidewalk Extension - This funding extends the sidewalk construction project on 3rd Street near New Cut Road and running South. 
• D25 Valley Station Road Sidewalk Connection - This project funds a sidewalk connection on Valley Station Road in District 25.

Use Twitter by sending the location of the hole to @LouMetro311 and include the hashtag #502pothole.
Call Metro311 or 574-5000 to report potholes or any other issues.
Call our office at 574-1125, and we'll turn it in on your behalf.

To report a pothole on an interstate in Jefferson County, go to the “contact us” dropdown menu and select “report a hazard” on KYTC’s website http://transportation.ky.gov or click here.
