The Importance of Being Earnest at Highview Arts Center

Ernest

Highview Arts Center Presents Oscar Wilde's The Importance of Being Earnest

Directed by Jay Padillia, Oscar Wilde's classic tells the story of two bachelors, John ‘Jack’ Worthing and Algernon ‘Algy’ Moncrieff, who create alter egos named Ernest to escape their tiresome lives. They attempt to win the hearts of two women who, conveniently, claim to only love men called Ernest. The pair struggle to keep up with their own stories and become tangled in a tale of deception, disguise and misadventure.

Applegate Lane Updates

UPDATE: EPA completed the remediation of 6211 Applegate on Friday, September 1, 2023. All that remains is to remove the trash and debris and repour the concrete. The debris is expected to be shipped off this week or next, but the concrete will not likely be repoured until activities at 6213 are complete, simply for ease of logistics.

Metro Government has established a website with information on the proposed controlled burn on Applegate Lane.  All options are continuing to be accessed.

The website contains an updated list of common questions Metro Government has been receiving about this situation, and it will continue to be updated as more information becomes available. The webpage can be found at: Applegate Safety Information.
