The National Street Rods Association is excited to host their 54th Annual Street Rod Nationals in Louisville at the Kentucky Exposition Center! Vehicles that are from the year 1991 or older will be allowed to be showcased at this event.
The event will also feature a swap meet, NSRA Autocross, games & coloring contests, live entertainment under the big tent, a quilt display, and so much more!
Hours are:
- Thursday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Friday & Saturday 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
- Sunday 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Admission is $19 for those 13 and over, $6 for kids 6 to 12 years old, and free for kids under 6 years old when accompanied by an adult. Get a family pack for $40 to receive admission for two adults and three children (12 years old and younger).
A special discounted $17 admission is available for military personnel with proper military identification, NSRA members with their current membership card or anyone 60 years of age and older. One discounted admission per person.

Club House Troubadours play Classic Rock from the 60’s/70’s/80’s, Americana, and dig deep with some obscure musical surprises.
FridayFest is free and open to the public. Local vendors and food trucks will be on hand with a variety of food options, and people are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket to enjoy the show at Highview Park.

Pets on-leash are allowed in the facility, but individual businesses or studios may have restrictions on animals for health and safety reasons.
This month, you can also check out an art exhibition in the Pigment Gallery from 6:30 to 9 p.m.

The annual CatVideoFest takes an activity that is normally done solo - watching cat videos online - and makes it into a communal experience! Each year, the Social Purpose Corporation brings a selection of the best feline videos along with some classics and unique submissions and shares them with the masses, all while raising money for cats in need.
The CatVideoFest is an international program with screenings in dozens of cities bringing together kitty fans with a program that provides support to the little ones. The program is produced by filmmaker Will Braden, creator of the YouTube sensation Henri, le Chat Noir.
Recommended for all ages. 10% of the ticket sales will be donated to Alley Cat Advocates and the Kentucky Humane Society.
Admission is $12, or $8 for Speed members.

The St. Matthews Potato Festival offers a cornucopia of delights including a vendor market, live music, food, and family fun! Not just a celebration of the humble potato, this event is a testament to community spirit and togetherness.
The first 1,000 attendees will receive free French fries from McDonald's.
Search for the golden potato! Twenty golden potatoes have been hidden around St. Matthews, each one of them is equipped with a QR code and the chance to win a prize.
There will be a timed cornhole tournament designed to allow both novices and advanced competitors a chance to compete. The tournament will start at 12:30 p.m. with an entry fee of $40 per team. There will also be a putting tournament with space limited to the first 8 teams registered, this timed single elimination tournament is open to teams of all ages. The cost is $20 per team and prize money will be awarded for 1st and 2nd place finishes. Registration will be accepted online and the day of the event.
The event will also feature a kid's area and live music! Kentucky native, JD Shelburne will be headlining the St. Matthews Potato Festival at 3:30 p.m.!

Hops on the Hill returns this Saturday with plenty of incredible hoppy beers to go around! The event began in 2017, as the area's first IPA Festival and has grown over the years to bring in breweries from other states.
This year, they invited some great breweries, DSSOLVR (Asheville), 4 Hands (St Louis), and Streetside (Cincinnati), to the 6th annual Hops on the Hill. In addition to the amazing collabs, some of their amazing beers will hit the Mile Wide guest taps.
Enjoy music by DJ Clay Baker, and food from Mac's @ Mile Wide and Lil' Cheezers!
Get prepared for a day of hops, music, and general merriment on the Hill!

Monnik Beer Co.'s Dog Days of Summer event, benefiting Kentucky Humane Society, returns on Saturday after a two-year hiatus! This paw-some event will have everything from outdoor pools and sprinklers to a limited-run beer collaboration with Louisville Ale Trail. You don’t want to miss this fun-filled day full of activities, vendors, a dog show, and on-site adoptions!
There will be a fun dog show beginning at 4 p.m. (registration from 2 to 4 p.m.), it is $1 per entry. Categories include: Waggiest Tail, Best Trick, Dog Most Like Its Owner, Best Outfit, Most Chillest, Fluffiest, Coolest Hair Do, and People's Choice Award!
All dog show proceeds and a portion of beer sales will be donated to the Humane Society and Project K-9 Hero.

Join 21c and Squallis Puppeteers for a special program featuring "Mouse Tales," Squallis' new puppet show featuring two cousins who happen to be mice, followed by an hour-long finger puppet workshop!
Based on the folktales Country Mouse, City Mouse, Stone Soup, and The Lion and the Mouse, this table-top puppet show weaves lessons in with fables, puppetry, and hijinks.
The event kicks off at 10 a.m.! Tickets are $5 for kids and adults, or free for any child with their 2023 Cultural Pass.
The show will last about 30 minutes, followed by a Q&A and a puppet making workshop. Recommended ages 3-10, but all are welcome to laugh and learn.

The Barking Lot Party is free to attend but will also feature a ticketed portion of the event: Paint Your Pet! Paint your pet's portrait in two different styles!

Each ticket will include all painting materials and guidance. Make sure you submit a pet photo to our artist (instructions here). On the day of the class, you will receive a canvas with a sketch/outline of your pet (used from the photo you send to the instructor), a set of acrylic paints, and all other brushes and materials to be utilized on-site.
Tickets for Paint Your Pet are $40 each, $15 of every ticket will be donated to Adopt Me Bluegrass.

Join the Cherokee Triangle Association for live music by The Checkmates. They’ll be having you bop around to their 50’s and 60’s Doo Wah tunes all evening long!
The Cherokee Triangle Association Summer Concerts are an annual series that are free to attend and open to the public. The concerts are held in Willow Park. Bring a blanket or some chairs to sit on, snacks, and a few friends, and enjoy a summer evening of live music with your neighbors.
No pets allowed. No outside alcohol or any weapons. No soliciting is allowed.
They will be collecting canned food, hygiene items, and other non-perishable donations to benefit the Highlands Community Ministry’s food pantry.

The Louisville Folk School is thrilled to introduce the Shady Grove Summer Stage Concert Series, a free, family-friendly outdoor concert series on the beautiful Douglas Community Center lawn!
Get ready to groove to an eclectic mix of genres, featuring incredible artists like Yapa, Aseye Ensemble, The Price Sisters, Tyrone Cotton, Houseplant, and many more! Each performance promises to be a unique and unforgettable experience. You'll hear performances by some familiar faces from the Folk School extended family and will be introduced to artists who will surely become new favorites.
So, grab your picnic blankets, invite your friends and family, and enjoy the unique sounds at the Shady Grove Summer Stage!
The first 50 teens (ages 13-18) to sign in at each concert will receive meals! Food vouchers to Six Forks Burgers and Spinelli's Pizza will be handed out to those first 50 teens.
The Louisville Folk School is also offering FREE music and art classes exclusively for teens aged 13 to 18. It's a perfect opportunity for teens to explore their creativity and learn from experienced instructors.

Every Wednesday
Each Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. experience Food Truck Wednesdays at 4th Street between Jefferson and Market Streets! Louisville Downtown Partnership has curated many amazing food trucks to serve lunchtime patrons each Wednesday!
The street will be closed off to vehicular traffic from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each week. Food trucks will serve food from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Every Thursday through October
The Food Truck Clinic is a one-stop-shop where food and beverage vendors can get the green light from the Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness, Louisville Division of Fire and Jefferson County Fire Service, and Alcoholic Beverage Control (ABC) to legally sell food and drinks to the public.
Every Thursday between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., from now until Oct. 19, food trucks and other mobile vendors can stop by the alley at Armory Place, behind the Metro Development Center to get their permits to operate.
The Food Truck Clinic not only benefits vendors, but community members, too. Each Thursday, the public is invited to the clinic to enjoy food and beverages after food trucks get the go ahead to open.
