The Louisville Metro Council is gearing up for an exciting and engaging celebration of community unity as it participates in the nationwide event, National Night Out. On Tuesday, August 1, residents of all ages are invited to come together and strengthen neighborhood bonds through a series of fun-filled activities and initiatives throughout the community.
National Night Out is an annual event that aims to promote positive community relationships and enhance public safety by fostering connections between residents, local law enforcement agencies and other community organizations. Louisville is proud to be a part of this nationwide effort and is excited to showcase its commitment to building a safe and thriving environment for all.
Community members can join in a variety of family-friendly activities around the city. These events offer an opportunity for neighbors to connect, share stories and strengthen their sense of belonging.
National Night Out serves as a reminder that by working together and building strong relationships, communities can create safer environments and improve the quality of life for everyone.
All events are free and open to the public with no pre-registration required.
District 10 is covered by the LMPD's 4th, 5th, and 6th Divisions, so join the celebration nearest you! National Night Out is Tuesday, August 1 from 5 to 8 p.m.
- LMPD 3rd and 4th Divisions will celebrate at 5216 New Cut Road at Iroquois Park. Includes food, drinks, prizes, children’s activities, live music and more.
- LMPD 5th Division will celebrate at 301 S. Peterson Avenue at the Peterson-Dumesnil House. Includes food, drinks, drug toss, child-ID cards, door prizes, and more.
- LMPD 6th and 7th Divisions will celebrate at 4801 Outer Loop, Jefferson Mall, from 5 to 8 p.m. Includes food, drinks, prizes, children’s activities, live music and more.
