You can visit us, other agencies at Mayor's Night Out
The Louisville Metro Department of Public Health and Wellness will be among the many Louisville Metro Government agencies featured at the third Mayor's Night Out event at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 27 at the Kentucky Center for African American Heritage. Louisville residents are encouraged to come and meet Metro Government leaders and department heads, ask questions, and share comments and suggestions on improving city services.
The event is free and open to the public. Let us know you are coming by RSVP'ing to the Mayor's Night Out Facebook page!
Be sure to check out a listing of other Louisville Metro Government agencies attending this special event.
Be sure to get tested to find out your HIV status
HIV.gov recognizes National HIV Testing Day on June 27 to highlight the importance of HIV testing. This year’s theme is Take the Test & Take the Next Step – a reminder for everyone to know their HIV status and take steps to stay healthy, including using protection and getting tested.
Free HIV testing is available at our Specialty Clinic, 914 E. Broadway, Suite #102. Our clinic also provides STI testing, treatment and counseling services. The clinic operates Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. More information is available on our website.

If you're struggling emotionally, call the 988 Lifeline
The LGBTQI+ community is at a higher risk than the heterosexual, cisgender communities for suicidal thoughts and suicide attempts.
If you or someone you know are having feelings of hopelessness or emotional distress, call or text 988 or chat 988Lifeline.org to connect with an LGBTQI+ trained crisis counselor who can help.
