Father's Day is Sunday

fathers day

Happy Father's Day to all the Dads, Pops, and Daddies out there, along with all who mentor and serve as Dads.

Dads receive free Zoo admission this Father's Day

Zoo dad family

Thanks to Ford Motor Company, dads will receive free admission to the Louisville Zoo on Father’s Day, June 18. The Zoo celebrates animal dads year-round, but on this day, they will highlight some of the most recent and popular fathers including babirusa Albus, zebra Gibbs and surrogate gorilla dad Casey.

Dads may simply inform the attendant at the Zoo’s entrance gate as they enter for free admission. The Zoo encourages others visiting with dad to purchase tickets and parking online in advance for quick entry and the best prices.

Air Quality Alert issued for tomorrow

An Air Quality Alert has been issued in Louisville for Saturday, June 17. Ozone pollution is forecast at levels that are unhealthy for sensitive groups.

Sensitive groups include children, older adults, those with lung disease, and others who are active outdoors. Sensitive groups should reduce prolonged or heavy outdoor exertion, take more breaks, and do less intense activities. Others in the general public are less likely to be affected, but should also be aware of symptoms like coughing, shortness of breath, or other respiratory issues.

Follow live air quality conditions at Louisville Air Watch.
