Louisville Zoo, Beargrass Creek and Jim King Trail cleanup - thanks to all who helped!

Beargrass Creek cleanup crew

A group of neighbors, Zoo volunteers, MSD workers, and D-10 staff pitched in Saturday morning for the Louisville Zoo cleanup of Beargrass Creek and the Jim King Trail.

At right, left to right: Louisville Zoo Foundation Board Member and volunteer Dr. Larry Florman, Zoo Director Dan Maloney, Zoo Director of Development Kelly Grether, and Zoo Media/Public Relations Manager Kyle Shepherd.

Associated with the Louisville Zoo's Earth Day celebration, the cleanup, thanks to MSD, removed tires and other debris from Beargrass Creek. We are most grateful to MSD for the resources they brought to the project.

Along with picking up tires and other items, MSD workers made repairs along the creek.

Thanks to all who pitched in, including neighbors Greg Heitzman, Tom Kaelin, Rick Mosley and Terry Singer for their work in cleaning up the neighborhood and the trail!
