Crescent Hill Easter Egg Hunt at 10am Sharp on the grounds of the Peterson-Dumesnil House, 301 S Peterson Avenue. There will be three simultaneous egg hunts by age groups. Don’t forget to bring your Easter baskets!
Frankfort Avenue Easter Parade on Saturday April 8th at 11:30am. The parade will travel from Stilz to Pope street leaving at approximately 11:30-11:45am.
EggStravaganza Easter Party on Saturday April 8th, 9:30-11:30am at Crescent Hill Baptist Church, 2800 Frankfort Avenue. Bring the kids for some free family fun before the Frankfort Avenue Easter Parade. Enjoy egg dying, crafts, cookie decorating, face painting, bounce house and other activities and games. Crescent Hill July 4th Festival
We need lots of volunteers to make the Crescent Hill July 4th Festival a success! This year, the event will be a one day festival on Tuesday, July 4. This event offers several volunteer opportunities that are "family friendly" where adults and kids can volunteer together. Join our community of compassionate volunteers at Hildegard House. We provide a home and compassionate care for individuals at the end of life who have no home or loved ones to care for them so that they may die with dignity and access hospice care. We are the family for our residents and care for them just like family members. Compassionate Companions commit to a weekly 5-hour shift. The next volunteer training is May 19 and 20. The University of Louisville, in partnership with the Louisville Free Public Library (LFPL), invites Louisville immigrants, refugees, and LFPL patrons to participate in our community needs assessment. The purpose of this study is to understand the psychosocial and health needs of the community served by LFPL. The goal is to use this information to inform future program offerings, services, and collaborations to better meet immigrant and refugee needs.

Louisville Parks and Recreation and TreesLouisville are excited to welcome the community to the second annual TreeFest: An Arbor Day Celebration. The family-friendly event is set to take place on Saturday, April 15 from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Joe Creason Park (1297 Trevilian Way, 40213) and will offer a variety of activities for those of all ages!
The day will begin with a volunteer tree planting, where community volunteers will plant 200 trees throughout the park. Additional activities offered at TreeFest include tree giveaways, guided nature walks, tree climbing, a rock climbing wall, crafts, games, live music, vendor booths, community booths and more!
Food and beverages from Lil Cheezers, Poco502 and West Sixth Brewing will be available for purchase. Bringing personal alcoholic beverages is prohibited.

Wednesday, April 26th: On April 26 an event titled “REAL Good News” will hold its 10th in a series of quarterly public Zoom meetings aimed at making sure Louisville implements its green energy goals. In 2020 the Metro Council passed a resolution to move the city’s operations to 100% clean renewable electricity by 2030. That resolution also sets a goal of 100% clean energy for the entire Louisville community by 2040. April’s event will feature a discussion by an expert panel on how other cities have transitioned to solar and how Louisville can follow their example. Speakers will include Steve Ricketts, chair of the Kentucky Solar Energy Society and owner of Generation Solar; Ryan Van Velzer, Energy and Environmental Reporter at Louisville Public Media; and Andrew Owen, newly-elected Metro Council Representative for District 9.
