Councilman Hudson Honors District 23 Resident Larnelle Harris

Hudson/Harris

Councilman Jeff Hudson with Larnelle Harris, Councilwoman Barbara Shanklin and Coucilman Stuart Benson

Every year, the Metro Council hosts a program celebrating Black History Month. A portion of the program is dedicated to honoring residents from each of the 26 Metro Council districts who have made an impact in the community. This year, Councilman Hudson honored Larnelle Harris.

Larnelle Harris is the only person in history to be a member of three distinct hall of fame organizations-- Gospel Music Hall of Fame, Kentucky Music Hall of Fame and the Amateur Radio Hall of Fame.

Larnelle has garnered numerous accolades for his music including five Grammy Awards, eleven Dove Awards (three of which were for Male Vocalist of the Year), and a Stellar Award for Best Solo Performance, among many other musical honors.
