Saturday evening a shooting took place on Terrier Court. 27-year old Darionte Coleman was gunned down.
Thankfully, our dedicated officers in the LMPD 6th Division not only responded to the violence, but have identified a suspect.
They have arrested Deterrius Brown in connection with the crime. Officers are still working through the neighborhood to find any witnesses or other information to better understand this violent attack in our community.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
The man killed in a Bon Air neighborhood shooting has been identified by the coroner, and an arrest has been made in connection with the incident.
Police say 27-year-old Darionte Coleman was shot just before 8:20 p.m. Saturday night in the 2300 block of Terrier Court.
That's across from where Costco is located on Bardstown Road.

Police found Coleman suffering from several gunshot wounds, and the coroner pronounced him dead at the scene.
Sunday morning, Louisville Metro Police said they arrested 29-year-old Deterrius Brown and charged him with murder in connection with Coleman's death.
Coleman lived in the Wyandotte/Oakdale neighborhood, about seven miles west of where the shooting happened.
