Sidewalk over Goldsmith Lane bridge near Peabody Lane closed due to safety concerns

Goldsmith bridge

We don't love sharing this news, but the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet has informed Louisville Metro Public Works and Assets that the sidewalk over the bridge structure on Goldsmith Lane near Peabody must be shut down. An inspection revealed safety concerns and closing the sidewalk will allow the driving lanes to remain open at this time.

The sidewalk may be closed for an extended period of time during the process to investigate and design a repair or replacement of the structure.

Please watch for signage and use extra caution in the area.
