You are invited to kick off the holiday season with Mayor Greg Fischer at the annual YMCA Mayor’s Community Thanksgiving Breakfast, along with special musical guests, the Louisville Youth Choir and the River City Drum Corp.
WAVE3’s Dawne Gee will serve as emcee and Mayor Fischer and representatives from the YMCA will highlight some of the outstanding people, programs and projects that make Louisville such a BEAUTIFUL City.
We are also excited to honor this year’s YMCA Youth Character Award recipients for their exceptional leadership in improving our community, while incorporating the Y values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility into their daily lives.

The Louisville Film Society Short Film Slam is coming to the Speed Cinema this Thursday.
They will show locally made short films directed by members of LFS and the local community and follow each up with a 5-minute Q&A with the director.
Attendees will include Speed patrons and donors, LFS members and the general public. Tickets are $12 for general admission, $8 for Speed and LFS members and can be purchased here.

This 20th Anniversary Brain Ball will pay homage to past Mary Varga Award recipients, honor our military veterans, while also paying tribute to jockeys, trainers and thoroughbred owners earning its nickname “Derby in November”. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, hats and fascinators are welcome!
The Ball will kick-off at 6:30 p.m. with a Cocktail Reception. Hall of Fame Jockey, Pat Day will deliver the invocation in advance of dinner and our awards presentations. A live band (Thumper & the Plaid Rabbits) and after party will commence immediately following dinner.
The night will also include a Stock-the-Bar Raffle, the chance to open the Jockey Locker full of dining certificates from dozens of great restaurants, plus a live auction. You do not need to be present to bid on auction prizes or to win.

The market is the perfect opportunity to discover unique holiday gifts for friends and family, all while supporting Louisville’s small business community.
First Mate’s Market was created with a vision of bringing together a broad spectrum of local small businesses and the community at-large at a Louisville icon and National Historic Landmark. The Belle recently celebrated turning 108 years old and is the oldest Mississippi River-style steamboat in the world!
The First Mate’s Market will feature more than 30 small business vendors, Santa & Mrs. Claus meet-and-greet, food trucks, giveaways, Pilot House tours, cash bar and more!
Belle crew will also be giving out a free limited-edition poster to the first 100 guests. No tickets are required to attend this FREE dockside event; however, those who pre-register will receive the limited-edition poster and be entered to win a 2023 Belle of Louisville Riverboats membership! Families of crash victims and road safety advocates will gather at Sunnyhill Pavilion in Iroquois Park on Sunday to commemorate World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims.
World Day of Remembrance is an international event, started in 1995 and adopted by the UN in 2005, honoring those killed in traffic collisions and organizing for change to prevent such tragedies. This is the first time the event will be held in Louisville.

The popular and dynamic Ladies Sing the Blues showcase returns featuring the best of local and regional female vocalists, performing songs in blues, jazz, soul, rhythm & blues, and gospel styles. This year's concert will have nine singers and will end with its signature all-singer finale.

Louisville Mega Cavern’s Lights Under Louisville returns with more than 40 themed displays, mapping projections, approximately 900 illuminated characters, 4 LED light tunnels, including a new 200-foot-long MEGA light tunnel, two laser sections, and nearly 6,000,000 points of light that will spread mega cheer and holiday spirit this season. Lights Under Louisville will take visitors on an immersive ride through more than one mile of cavern passageways as visitors drive through millions of dazzling lights, festive lasers, and even larger captivating light tunnels.
Open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., guests can expect a one-of-a-kind holly jolly experience, complete with lasers dancing to the beat of holiday music. This year, guests will kick off the season with a megadose of holiday cheer as they encounter surprises around every corner and are completely surrounded by four twinkling light tunnels, including the all new 200-foot-long MEGA light tunnel!
