Drivers may encounter delays
Striping and paving in the I-Move Kentucky project area will require a lane closure on Interstate 265 (Gene Snyder Freeway) and ramp closures at the I-265/I-71 interchange on Saturday, Oct. 29.
From 1 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday, I-265 North will be reduced to one lane between I-64 (Exit 25) and Shelbyville Road (Exit 27) to allow the contractor to pave the right lane. Access to Shelbyville Road and the I-64 West to I-265 North ramp will remain open during this time.
Also from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. the collector-distributor (C-D) lane on I-71 South will be closed for final striping. The ramps from I-71 South to I-265 South and I-265 North to I-71 South will also be closed.
Work schedules may be adjusted due to weather or other unforeseen events.
Drivers should use caution when traveling through active work zones. Signage will be in place to alert drivers of active construction zones and closures.
