District Download - Metro Council Basics

podcast

"District Download" is a podcast started earlier this year as a platform for all 26 Metro Council districts. Topics covered to this point include public safety, the arts, health equity, and the "Another Way" program I've talked about before. The next podcast will go live on Thursday. District 19 Councilman Anthony Piagentini and Metro Council Clerk Sonya Harward join me to discuss some basics of metro government: what happens during a Metro Council meeting, what does it take to get legislation passed, how can citizens get involved, etc.

This episode (and all others) can be found via SounderGoogle, and Apple. I hope you'll check it out!

Berrytown Neighborhood Plan Meeting - July 19

plan

The next Berrytown Neighborhood Plan meeting will be Tuesday, July 19 from 6:30-8 p.m. at the Berrytown Recreation Center, 1300 Heafer Road. In the weeks following that meeting, the consultants chosen to guide this effort will create a draft neighborhood plan to be presented at the meeting in September. I hope you'll be able to attend and share your vision for Berrytown. If you're new to the process or want to review what's been covered so far, click here for prior meetings, maps, and other relevant information.

Visioning Sessions for New Form Districts

form districts

I mentioned a few weeks ago that the Offices of Planning & Design Services and Advanced Planning & Sustainability were hosting a meeting on June 28 to share information about two new form districts. Those departments are now prepared to discuss the proposed Urban Center Neighborhood and Conservation form districts in greater detail and hear your vision for Louisville's built environment.
