Staying safe from COVID-19
With key COVID-19 metrics trending downward but still near all-time highs, Mayor Fischer and Louisville Metro Public Health & Wellness leaders on Tuesday urged residents to continue with precautions against the extremely contagious omicron variant. Steps include getting vaccinated and boosted, testing when ill or exposed, and wearing quality masks indoor and in public spaces. Watch the briefing and learn more at louisvilleky.gov/covid19.
For residents who don’t have access to technology or have difficulty using an online process, the staff at Louisville Metro’s COVID-19 Helpline, 912-8598, can assist with scheduling an appointment.
Yard waste collection to resume February 14
The Solid Waste Management department appreciates everyone's patience as yard waste collection was temporarily suspended in the Urban Services District. Yard waste collection is scheduled to resume on Monday, February 14 but will follow an every-other-week schedule through winter. See calendar below for details. Use the Recycle Coach app to stay informed!
The free Christmas tree and yard waste drop-off sites will remain open until curbside collection resumes. The last day for drop-off will be Saturday, February 12. All yard waste must be in compliance with curbside guidelines. Containers used to bring yard waste to the drop-off sites must be taken back by residents.
