Hello District 5!
We have been blessed with the beauty of Fall as we go into the festive month of October, with lots to do as outlined in this newsletter.
Just a few reminders of safety:
Please remember to practice social distancing as well as wear a mask if you are not vaccinated. Though last week the numbers were beginning to trend down, we are not out of the woods of being infested with this virus that causes severe illnesses and unfortunately death!
The crime spike here in the city has become a nuisance with the unnecessary killings, car theft, and car jackings, please be careful and watch your surroundings. Remember to always lock your doors and be careful while out driving. With 150 homicides and 21 of those being juveniles, we must make an effort and get involved with community partners to prevent these heinous killings!
If you know something and want to report crimes anonymously, please feel free to contact my office at 574-1105 for Hot Spot cards, these cards do not request your identity, just the criminal activities and are send to the Louisville Metro Police Department.
Enjoy this beautiful fall weather and have a safe and fun Halloween!
FRIENDLY REMINDER: SATURDAY, OCTOBER 2ND AT 9AM SHARP - THANK YOU FOR PARTICIPATING!!!
