He will share the story of how new defense industries and facilities in South Louisville contributed to America’s victory in World War II. Future Dreamers is a community-centered leadership course that cultivates a network of lifelong advocates and ambassadors for South and Southwest, builds community social capital, and acts as a pipeline to fill leadership roles in the city with members and supporters of South Louisville. Leaders explore Asset-Based Community Development, Neighborhood Development, Local Economies, Local Government, and Arts & Culture.
Now in its third year, the Future Dreamers Civic Leadership Academy has graduated 40 leaders from 13 zipcodes.

Olmsted Park Conservancy: Project Manager Position
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Project Manager is responsible for creating an overarching strategy for managing the natural areas in the Olmsted Parks. They must be familiar with ecological restoration principles and their field application as they relate to urban woodland ecosystems. This position works closely with the Team for Healthy Parks (THP) and will collaborate with the THP Operations Manager to create plans to implement these strategies.
The Project Manager will manage all GIS needs for the Conservancy including, but not limited to collection of THP daily field data, research data, tree data, and memorial tree and bench documentation.
The Project Manager will also collaborate with the Volunteer and Education Manager in planning and designing internship opportunities to support the management goals.
