From the desk of
Councilman Mark Fox
District 13
This past Saturday July 24, 2021 Metro Animal Service conducted their 1st Low Cost Rabies Clinic in almost 2 years.
My office received the following note from Skip Kalkhof, Administrative Coordinator, Metro Animal Services
"Metro Animal Service would like to thank Council Members Mark Fox (District 13) and Madonna Flood (District 24) who sponsored the event. We had the largest turnout since I have been working for Metro Animal Services!
Special thanks to Becki Phillips, Administration Office and Amanda Wolfe, Emily Fawbush, Michelle Mayer and our contract Veterinarian Rachel Brown to help make this event successful. Teeya Barnes also attended the event doing live Facebook screening. We were also helped by several volunteers during the clinic handling set-up, clean-up and providing information to the customers to make everything run smoothly. Alley Cats Advocates also set up a table to answer citizens questions.
The Health Department was also present to distribute Codid-19 vaccinations to the public.
During this event we distributed 184 Rabies vaccinations and sold 182 licenses. We also Microchipped 22 animals."
Thank you to all for making this event a success.
