LouVax-Mobile

The LouVax team has done an amazing job caring for tens of thousands of Louisvillians in a drive-through vaccination site. As a health department, our mission is to serve those at the highest risk and those who encounter the most barriers to access care.

With the many options for people to get vaccinated, the decision has been made to pivot our resources towards a new venture, LouVax-Mobile. Each mobile mission is tailored to a specific group and may focus on a neighborhood, a demographic, or an organization.

If you are part of a group that is in need of a LouVax-Mobile mission, you can reach out to LouVaxMobile@louisvilleky.gov to discuss setting up an event.

"YOUR VOICE MATTERS!": WEST END RESIDENTS - KENTUCKY DERBY FESTIVAL

“In an effort” to be intentional about inclusivity, the Kentucky Derby Festival is surveying at least 1000 West Louisville residents, by August 6, 2021, for ways to close the “participation gap” in official derby events economically and socially.   Please click on the below link (3 – 5 minute survey) to give your thoughts, ideas, opinions, perspectives, etc. about ways in which Black Louisvillians can get a “chunk” of the derby pie.

UPCOMING PUBLIC FORUM: AMERICAN RESCUE PLAN (ARP) Funding & JCPS

Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) is expected to receive a third round of federal stimulus funds to address unfinished learning during COVID-19. In an effort to determine how best to utilize these funds, JCPS is seeking community input and feedback.

On Wednesday, July 21, there will be an in person discussion with stakeholders at the VanHoose Education Center at 3332 Newburg Road at 6:00 p.m. This is a rare opportunity to have short-term resources that have a long-term impact.
