Due to the transition of driver’s license services from Circuit Court Clerk Offices to the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) per KRS 186.490, the Outer Loop-Highview Driver’s License Branch will close permanently Monday, June 28. Last day of operations at this location (7509 Outer Loop) will be Friday, June 25.
All Circuit Court Clerk Driver's License Offices across the state will be closing by June 30,2022 as the state transitions to KYTC Driver's License Regional Offices. This is a decision that was made at the state level.
Drivers now can visit ANY KYTC Driver Licensing Regional Office, regardless of where they live. For a list of all KYTC Regional Offices across the Commonwealth, visit https://drive.ky.gov/Driver-Licensing/Pages/Regional-Offices.aspx.
Additionally, please note that:
- On June 14, KYTC launched their new online platform for drivers to renew current standard licenses and REAL IDs via the web (as long as the driver’s name/address hasn't changed) -- https://dlrenewal.ky.gov/
- Drivers can choose between a REAL ID or a new standard license. Both offer state-of-the-art security features to ensure their information is fully protected.
- The Department of Homeland Security has extended the Real ID enforcement deadline until May 3, 2023. (It had been Oct. 1, 2020.)

After a break last year the FridayFest concert series returns this summer at Highview Park.
All shows are free to attend and run from 6-10pm. Bring a cooler, picnic basket or grab some food from the 7th Division Grill.
People are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket to enjoy the show.
