Dear Neighbor,

As Louisville prepares for a Derby unlike any we've seen before, please keep in mind that we still have a long way to go before it is truly safe to gather in large groups.

While there will be spectators at the track, and many enticing parties to attend, there are still too many of our friends and family who are not vaccinated, or perhaps will refuse for whatever reason. Knowing that, please be responsible and keep those folks in your mind as you enjoy a beautiful weekend ahead.

There are two development proposals with upcoming public meetings that we have received a lot of communication about.

  • Redevelopment of St. John Paul II (which most of us still call St. Barnabas) at 3042 Hikes Lane.
  • Redevelopment of the former Breckinridge Inn at I-264 into a new outpatient center for Baptist Health.

There is more detail on these proposals and the meetings below. Please remember, you must send any comments to the Louisville Metro Office of Planning & Design Services to be included in the record and considered throughout the process.

Have a good weekend,

Brent Signature
