Spread Awareness about Youth Violence

Did you know that homicide is the third leading cause of death for teens in the United States?  Or that, in 4 out of 5 school shootings, at least one other person had knowledge of the attacker’s plan but failed to report it?  Did you know violence is preventable? Education is one of the most important aspects of National Youth Violence Prevention Week.  Get involved this year by sharing about this important cause on social media.  Below are a few fact sheets and articles worth sharing.

Meet the Team Working to End Youth Violence

Learn about the youth and young adults who are moving the needle when it comes to youth violence in our community.  Members of the Mayor's Youth Implementation Team will be sharing profiles on social media this Tuesday.  Help uplift youth voice and see what makes our team so special by visiting The Office for Safe and Healthy Neighborhoods Instagram page.
