There was a major announcement today about COVID-19 vaccinations in Louisville for people 60 and older. That group will be eligible for vaccines as of Monday, March 1.  Healthcare providers stated they will open their websites on Monday but, as of this morning,  Norton Healthcare is already putting individuals who are 60 and older onto a waitlist for appointments. Norton will use that waitlist to notify people of available vaccine appointments. The LouVAX site at Broadbent Arena will also be pulling from that waitlist as appointments become available.

Vaccine appointments continue to be available for people in Phase 1B - non-medical first responders, K-12 educators, childcare workers, and individuals 70 and over are prioritized in Phase 1B. As of this morning, UofL Health had appointments for that group as early as tomorrow. 

Below are links to websites for waitlists, information and appointments.  Some of the sites may not accept information from those 60-69 until Monday, but, again, Norton Healthcare, has opened its registration to those 60 and older.  Due to available supply, appointments are limited. It may take several weeks to get an appointment.

Until vaccinations are generally available to the entire population – which is months away – the virus, and new, more infectious variants, will continue to spread and there will be more illness, hospitalizations, and deaths. Please continue doing your part and maintain a six-foot space between you and others, wear your mask when out in public, avoid large groups and stay home as much as possible.
