Tragedy in Washington, D.C.

Message from Councilman Mulvihill:

We are grateful and blessed to live in a democratic and free society. Our greatest right is the right to speak freely. However, that right should never escalate or devolve into violence.

Let's all work together to ensure that we continue to have only civil discourse and respect for one another. Our forefathers, country and residents deserve nothing less.

Volunteers Needed for Louisville Metro Public Health & Wellness

Louisville Metro seal

From the Louisville Metro Public Health and Wellness COVID-19 Vaccination Team:

We are looking for a dedicated team of volunteers to work directly with the health department staff to deliver the COVID-19 vaccine to our first responders during the first phase of the COVID-19 vaccination rollout.

LMPHW is recruiting both non-medical and medical volunteers. Non-medical community volunteers will assist with scheduling and confirming appointments, collecting documents, temperature checks, and restocking supplies. Medically trained volunteers (specialized training and licensing required) will assist with administering the vaccine, medical screening, and triage.

There will be three different shifts available each day – 7:30 to 11:30 a.m., 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. The first phase kicked off January 4 and will continue over the next several weeks, Monday through Friday.

We will be hosting a training for all volunteers, walking through the whole event and discussing each role.

We would love for YOU to be part of our team! Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions at 574-6719 and please sign up at http://bttr.im/3mfz0
