The Kentucky Department for Public Health has created some guidance to help parents and communities enjoy Halloween but in a safer manner.
Louisville's cases continue to increase and we are back in the red alert level. We know parents and neighborhoods yearn for safe activities. It is important we all work together to avoid the high-risk activities and embrace the safer alternatives.

As COVID cases continue to increase in Louisville, I want to share that the COVID-19 Helpline - 502-912-8598 is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by our contact tracing team.
There are bilingual staff available (at least 18 languages spoken) as well as translation services available.
This is the best number and quickest way for you to get answers and assistance if you:
- Have tested positive and have not heard from Metro yet
- Are waiting for a test result and not sure what to do
- Were in close contact with someone who tested positive and aren’t sure what to do
- Have questions about safely isolating or quarantining
- Have questions about contact tracing

As you know, District 21 is home to the airport and UPS. Currently at the Science Center you can "fly" in the flight simulator, load a cargo container, design a flight map, and see a scale model of Boeing 747-8F.
Inside the exhibit:
- Pilot Training Simulator-fly one of three real training simulations used by UPS to train their pilots. Take off from Louisville Muhammad Ali Airport and explore the skies above Louisville.
- Load It Up-UPS has specially designed cargo containers to fit inside a plane. Can you load the actual container with packages to make sure they don’t fall down or break during transport?
- Interactive Flight Map-make a quick decision to ensure that the packages get to their destination on time, even if the weather is bad or mechanical issues crop up.
- Model Display-a scale model of a Bowing 747-8F is suspended in mid-flight inside the gallery. Along the plane, you can learn about the mechanical workings of the plane and how it flies through the air. You can also learn to calculate how much fuel it will take to get to your destination.
