This will be available during regular business hours and at least four hours on the three Saturdays before November 3. Locations will be announced at a later date. As Census-takers begin visiting non-responding Louisville households, residents are urged to complete the 2020 Census.
You can also call 1-844-330-2020 to complete the survey over the phone. The census website is here.
Census Takers in our neighborhood
The Louisville Census Complete Count Committee and community leaders are urging residents to complete the Census before Sept. 30, and notes that Census Takers are visiting every household that has not already responded. In certain areas, the Census Bureau is also calling households, reminding them to respond. Census Takers will have a valid ID badge with their photograph, a U.S. Department of Commerce watermark, and an expiration date. Census workers may also carry Census Bureau bags and other equipment with the Census Bureau logo.

As highway construction continues into the fall across the Commonwealth, motorists can expect to see orange cones and flashing lights in work zones.
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) is driving attention to Kentucky’s Work Zone Awareness to encourage motorists to take a vested interest in work zone safety by slowing down and driving without distractions in active work zones.
To help prevent future work zone crashes, the Transportation Cabinet asks drivers to practice three work zone safety tips:
- Pay Attention – Don’t text, eat or perform any other activity while driving.
- Respect Flaggers – Obey their guidance and watch their direction carefully.
- Slow Down – Maintain a safe following distance; rear-end collisions are the most common work zone crash.
To read work zone stories and to stay current with KYTC’s 2020 work zone awareness campaign, connect with the Cabinet on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, and follow the #kywzaw, #vestedinwzsafety and #glowky conversations. Be sure to visit the KYTC’s new work zone safety webpage.

Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) will only consider returning to in-person learning after multiple weeks in the yellow zone on the state’s coronavirus dashboard, according to JCPS superintendent Marty Pollio. “I think we need to see a trend,” Pollio said. “The last thing we want is to start school, and then stop it two weeks later. I think that would be the most frustrating thing for families, and educators and everybody.” At a school board work session Tuesday night, Pollio said the district will be following the guidelines the state released Monday for deciding whether to bring students back to the classroom. Under that system, the state recommends districts only hold in-person classes if the statewide positivity rate is below 6%, and if the district’s county is labeled green or yellow on a dashboard tracking the local spread of the coronavirus.
