+ Ensuring Inclusive Communities by Offering More COVID-19 Testing Sites
The Office for Globalization has partnered with the Public Health Department, the YMCA and Bluewater Labs to offer a new COVID-19 drive-thru/walk-up testing site for the public at the Southeast YMCA location in the Buechel neighborhood. There is no need to pre-register or make an appointment, and all insurance is welcome. No one will be turned away.
These efforts are very specific in focusing on an area where many cultures and international communities intersect so that testing is accessible to all communities. The Buechel neighborhood encompasses the Latinx, Congolese, Arabic, Syrian, Bosnian, Nepali, Korean, Ethiopian, Somali, and so many more cultures and demographics.
The kick-off event will take place on Friday, August 28 from 1 to 7 p.m. and Saturday, August 29 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

• Monday, August 31 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. • Wednesday, September 2 from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. • Friday, September 4 from 1 – 7 p.m.

+ JCPS School and Community Nutrition Services
The majority of JCPS schools are now offering curbside service for breakfast and lunch. These meals are for students who are enrolled in JCPS. Students enrolled at Community Eligibility Schools will not be charged for meals. Students enrolled at non-Community Eligibility Schools can apply for free or reduced-price meals at www.MySchoolApps.com.
If not eligible for free meals, parents/guardians will need to deposit funds on their student's account by check or at www.MySchoolBucks.com. A letter for each student will be mailed that includes a barcode for ease of pick-up. Help JCPS to plan accordingly by signing up for the NTI 2.0 meal pickup location at www.jcpsfood.org
*A few locations will not be serving meals or have combined with a nearby location.
