Crusade Weekend is typically the first weekend of June, however, due to COVID-19, it was postponed to this weekend, August 8th & 9th.

For 67 years, area fire departments have collected millions for the WHAS Crusade for Children, typically raising 50% of the annual Crusade total.

This year, fire departments cannot go door to door in the neighborhoods as they have in past years or collect at road blocks.

So to continue this important effort Chief Darrell Roy, Fairdale Fire Department, asks "Stop by the Fairdale Fire House #1 any time this Saturday or Sunday and drop off your donation for the WHAS Crusade for Children.  Thank you for helping us to help the children."

If you can’t make it to the firehouse this weekend, you can use the traditional method of giving by mailing your check to the
