District 10 news

Monday is Veterans Day

Councilman Mulvihill and District 10 representatives thank each and everyone of our veterans for their service to our country. We encourage everyone to please take time on Monday to remember our veterans who sacrificed so that we can enjoy the freedoms we have today. Certainly, if you see or know a veteran, simply say thank you. Also, please let them know that their service will never be forgotten.

Councilman Mulvihill joined other local celebrities, government officials and regular volunteers in the studio for recorded readings. While they focus on providing the written word to their listeners, this event was also available to the public through the cooperation of the Frankfort, KY 24-hour cable-programming channel 2. Radio Eye service can also be accessed by their website at www.radioeye.org, via their 1-800 number, and through their podcast which can be found at www.spreaker.com/user/radioeye.

Radio Eye is the only radio listening service for Kentuckians who are blind, visually impaired, or have other disabilities that prevent them from reading printed materials. They currently serve over 10,000 listeners in forty counties in the Commonwealth.

Residents of District 10, 15, 21, and 8 attended the Louisville Trifesta Community Meeting this week on Wednesday evening, November 6.

Danny Hayes CEO of Danny Wimmer Presents, pictured above with Councilman Mulvihill, traveled from Santa Monica, California to hear feedback from the community regarding the  music events held this past September at the Kentucky Exposition Center.

Danny Wimmer Presents produces the Louisville Trifesta featuring Hometown Rising, Bourbon and Beyond and Louder than Life.

Councilman Mulvihill is hopeful that the feedback gathered at this meeting will help KEC and Danny Wimmer Presents to improve their processes and to minimize the impact on the neighboring communities for future events.
