Pride flag raising Monday to kick off Pride Week

Pride flag raising

Councilman Mulvihill joined Mayor Greg Fischer, other city leaders, and members of the LGBTQ community Monday to raise the Pride flag at Metro Hall for the first time.

Councilman Mulvihill represented the Metro Council at the event. He served as President Pro-Tem for the Metro Council this week as Council President David James was out of town.

The annual Pride Parade will start at 7 p.m. on June 14 on Market and Campbell Street. The parade will go to the Big Four Lawn where the Big Four Bridge will be lit in rainbow colors.

The Pride Festival will take place Saturday, June 15 from noon to 11 p.m. on the Big Four Lawn.
