The new pedestrian crosswalk on the N.W. corner of Longfield Ave at Taylor Blvd was finally installed. The previous was destroyed in a vehicle accident. Along with the new crosswalk there is now a new "No Turn on Red" sign on the S.W. corner of Longfield Ave to further assist in traffic safety! |

The 2019 Cultural Pass is available starting June 1, 2019 and may be picked up at any Louisville Free Public Library branch along with the Summer Reading Program. Pass holders can register and track the progress of your Cultural Pass online at www.lfpl.org/culturalpass. The official Cultural Pass Launch Day will be on June 1 at the Main Branch of the Louisville Free Public Library and all participating venues will be invited to participate. Pass holders are encouraged to visit as many venues as you are able. Pass holders that visit the most venues will be entered into a drawing for tickets, season passes and other prizes provided by members of the Arts and Culture Alliance.
DATES: June 24-28th DEADLINE: 160 players or June 20th, 2019 (9:00 PM) LOCATION: Iroquois Golf Course (All Divisions) FORMAT: Stroke play qualifying event on June 24th. Match play based on qualifying score beginning Tuesday June 25th and continues daily with championship matches to be held Friday June 28th. Divisions: 1) 12-18 Girls Division (18-holes) 2) 12-18 Boys Division (18-holes) 3) 12-13 Boys/Girls Division (9-holes) 4) 11 & Under Boys/Girls Division (9-holes) Note: The flighting process using qualifying score provides best possible equality in each division. With the arrival of warmer temperatures, KIPDA and Louisville Metro collecting electric fans for seniors and persons with physical disabilities. The fans will be distributed to qualified individuals within the KIPDA region including Jefferson, Bullitt, Henry, Shelby, Oldham, Spencer, and Trimble Counties. Donations of new box fans will be collected through June 3rd at: KIPDA, 11520 Commonwealth Drive (Lou., KY 40299) WLKY Studio, 1918 Mellwood Ave. (Lou, KY 40206)
Drop off hours are Monday through Friday; 9 a.m.- 4 p.m.

With temperatures on the rise, Attorney General Andy Beshear is asking Kentuckians to use caution when hiring door-to-door contractors that promise too-good-to-be-true deals. Beshear says those “deals” can quickly turn into home improvement scams. “Often saying they are working in your neighborhood, scam contractors offer ‘special deals’ on home improvement services. Check out your prospective contractor at bbb.org or call your local BBB. To report a scam contact the Attorney General’s Office at 888-432-9257 and file a complaint online.
