Councilman Kevin Triplett attended the 2nd Annual Community Baby Shower last Sunday at New Life SDA Church on Taylor Boulevard. Attendees brought clothing, diapers and baby supplies to help nearly 500 families. It is activities such as this that make District 15 and Louisville as a whole shine. Thanks to all who participated and best wishes for an even larger event next year.

The Louisville Independent Business Alliance (LIBA) will host the 11th Annual Buy Local Fair. Presented by Louisville Water Company, admission to the Buy Local Fair is free and parking is $7 per vehicle, or free for bicycle parking. The fair will host a variety of local businesses, musicians, artists and craftspeople, chefs, community organizers and farmers. With the arrival of warmer temperatures, KIPDA and Louisville Metro collecting electric fans for seniors and persons with physical disabilities. The fans will be distributed to qualified individuals within the KIPDA region including Jefferson, Bullitt, Henry, Shelby, Oldham, Spencer, and Trimble Counties. Donations of new box fans will be collected through June 3rd at: KIPDA, 11520 Commonwealth Drive (Lou., KY 40299) WLKY Studio, 1918 Mellwood Ave. (Lou, KY 40206)
Drop off hours are Monday through Friday; 9 a.m.- 4 p.m.
