District 10 news

Happy Thanksgiving!

thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family! Louisville Metro offices will be closed on Thursday, November 22 and Friday, November 23.

Due to the holiday schedule, there won't be a District 10 enews Thanksgiving week. The next one will be November 30.

Holiday changes to waste collection

There will be no residential garbage, recycling or yard waste collection within the Louisville Metro Urban Services District (former Louisville city limits) on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday November 22.

Residents who normally have garbage/yard waste/recycling collection on Thursday will have service instead on Friday, November 23. The regular Friday collection will be delayed until Saturday, November 24.

Residents outside the Urban Services District who rely on private haulers for garbage, recycling and yard waste collection should consult those haulers about holiday collection schedule

Free storm debris drop-off sites

Louisville Metro Public Works is providing free drop-off service for residential storm debris from Monday, November 19 through Saturday, December 1 at seven locations.

In addition, residents of the Urban Services District may set storm debris out with regular yard waste, if it is bundled with twine.

Eligible debris includes tree limbs and other compostable materials. No construction or demolition materials, shingles, municipal garbage or man-made materials will be accepted. Branches should be less than four feet long and two inches wide.

In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, drop-off service will not be available on Thursday, November 22 or Friday, November 23. Service will resume on November 26.
