We all know that illegal dumping--putting waste on property that is not licensed as a disposal facility--is an eyesore that is expensive to clean up, diminishes quality of life, discourages economic development and even sends plastic debris into our waterways.

That's why people caught dumping along our city's alleys, sidewalks, fields and roadsides are subject to fines and impoundment of any vehicle used in the dumping. Metro has developed a new online form you can use to tell us where it happened, describe the vehicle(s) involved, preferably with license plate number(s), and even upload pictures. 18th Annual RBA Light-Up Riverport Golf Scramble

Proceeds from the Light-up Riverport Golf Scramble will be used to pay the annual costs of Riverport street lighting. This annual event helps keep their employees safe and their facilities secure! Breakfast will be served beginning at 6:30am followed by a shotgun start at 7:00am. When the last team returns from play we’ll enjoy lunch and a presentation of trophies and door prizes. The Louisville Bats are hosting the last 2018 Louisville Metro Government Night September 3rd. Discounted Recycle Carts Available!

Councilwoman Butler is participating in the discounted recycle cart program with Solid Waste. District 15 residents benefit! The 95-gallon and 65-gallon recycling carts are available for District 15 residents for only $25 -- this is a 50% discount. Due to the change in KY tax code, we must now charge sales tax on the value of the item - therefore the total for the cart is $28 - $25 for the cart and $3.00 for tax.
