Sign up for Code Louisville. In the latest episode of his podcast, Mayor Fischer focuses on Code Louisville. The innovative program has drawn national attention by offering free coding training — an in-demand skill for employers — to Louisville residents. Listen.

Blood drive continues. Mayor Fischer on Wednesday visited the Red Cross Holiday Hero blood drive at Churchill Downs. There’s still plenty of time to donate before the drive ends this evening. Sign up.

 A+ for aqua efforts.The U.S. Water Alliance on Tuesday named Mayor Fischer the 2018 winner of the U.S. Water Prize for Outstanding Public Official, citing his commitment to water workforce development. Learn more.

Oasis on Market St. 

Mayor Fischer today helped open Oasis, a new enterprise in the Sister Visitor Center, 2235 W. Market St. Oasis stocks frozen meats, vegetables, fruit and healthy snack options for purchase at wholesale rates.
