2018 Worksite Wellness Awards

Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer recently presented the annual Worksite Wellness Awards to 49 employers from Louisville and other areas of the state.  He was joined by Dr. Jim Frazier, vice president of medical affairs for Norton Healthcare, the presenting sponsor of the event.

The companies were recognized at the Worksite Wellness Council of Louisville’s Annual Conference and Awards Presentation held at the Gheens Foundation Lodge at Beckley Creek Park. More than 125 representatives from employers across the state attended the conference to learn best practices and proven strategies for reducing health risks and improving quality of life for their employees.

Mayor Greg Fischer praised the award winners for their efforts to create a culture of health in Louisville and across the state. “Worksites have the opportunity to encourage healthy habits and help prevent health problems,” he said. “A culture of wellness in the workplace contributes to the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of workers.  In Louisville, creating a healthier city for all our residents has been a core value of my administration since Day 1.”

This year’s annual conference and awards was presented by Norton Healthcare and sponsored by Anthem Blue CrossBlue Shield, Humana, Musselman Hotels and the Louisville Chapter of the Society for Human Resources.  To see more about the conference, including photos and videos from speakers, visit https://www.louisvilleworksitewellness.org/
