Tim Tam Tavern reopening celebration

Tim Tam opening photo

An iconic Audubon neighborhood bar reopened this morning. The Tim Tam Tavern, which closed about a year and a half ago after 60 years in business, retains the name but offers new amenities.

The new owners, including several regulars of the old Tim Tam Tavern, have completely renovated the place. They've transformed the dark old tavern into a bright space where families can enjoy pub food and Danny Mac's pizza. There's even a kids' menu.

Above, Councilman Mulvihill stopped by Friday morning and visited with Joe Sullivan and Lisa Hulsman. The other co-owners include Kevin Hulsman, Kenny Sullivan and Dan McMahon.

The Tim Tam Tavern was named after the 1958 Kentucky Derby winner. The original owner was said to have won enough money betting on Tim Tam to purchase the tavern. The Tim Tam Tavern is at 1022 Clarks Lane.
