"The show must go on!" Midsummer Night's Dream at Shelby Traditional Academy

Midsummer Night's Dream

Kentucky Shakespeare presented A Midsummer Night's Dream Saturday.

Originally planned to be in Emerson Park, the show was moved to Shelby Traditional Academy due to rain.

The show was enjoyed by young and old, including the attentive little guy in the photo to the right:

Councilman Mulvihill, who sponsored the performance, spoke before the show.

He thanked Kentucky Shakespeare and Shelby Traditional Academy staff for their willingness to be the rain site for the play.

You still have chances to see the play. Click here for a list of upcoming performances.

Audubon Park Festival of the Dogwood Celebration Concert

Councilman Mulvihill is honored to attend the Audubon Park Festival of the Dogwood Celebration Concert on Sunday.

The concert included a medley of Songs of World War I, arranged by David Sampson. Music of that era, performed in the heart of the former Camp Zachary Taylor area, seemed appropriate as it is the camp's 100th anniversary.

At right, those attending the concert included Jane Jonczy, Audubon Park Garden Club President, State Rep. Jim Wayne, and Dorn Crawford, Mayor of the City of Audubon Park.

Councilman Mulvihill enjoyed the music and appreciates the efforts of everyone in Audubon Park who make the Festival of the Dogwood a success.

As part of the Mayor's Give A Day initiative, Councilman Mulvihill joined Mayor Greg Fischer and a group of volunteers and Jefferson County Master Gardeners to prepare the Louisville Nature Center's sensory garden.

The Master Gardeners take care of the sensory garden throughout the year, and this sprucing up serves as kickoff to the growing season.

LNC’s sensory garden is specially designed to be accessible and enjoyable for all visitors, including those with physical challenges. It provides a variety of sensory opportunities. Stop by and enjoy the wonderful sights, scents, and textures nature has to offer.
