Delivers comprehensive oversight and support of all MSD IT network technologies including Cisco based routers, switches, wireless solutions, firewalls, WANs and IP-based voice services. Conducts research and maintains knowledge, skills, and proficiency to support development and implementation of network technologies/solutions. Researches, physically installs, implements, monitors and maintains network services related equipment. Analyzes, isolates and repairs data communications network performance or availability issues. Researches, evaluates and recommends purchases and upgrades. Interacts with telecom providers and other technology vendors to negotiate and oversee service contracts as needed. Partners with IT Security and other teams to enhance information security practices. Leverages network skills in support of MSD Operations and Engineering team initiatives.
