For the first time, Light up Louisville will feature a FREE 5k run/walk. This event will start and end on Jefferson Street and travels through the streets of downtown Louisville. A time clock will be in place for people who wish to observe their own time. The first 1,000 participants will receive a free t-shirt.
Light Up Louisville will also feature the 2011 Winter Wonderland Parade! The Winter Wonderland Parade will be held at sunset to create Louisville's only nighttime parade! The parade will travel along Santa Claus Lane (Jefferson Street) to Fourth Street to Main Street to 8th Street! Come early to pick your parade spot!
