We were alerted Wednesday that the recycling truck was not able to service the entire block of 1000 Eastern Parkway due to Louisville Water Company construction barriers.

The Solid Waste Management Team is aware and working on alternative ways of getting these locations serviced in a timely manner.

Two tickets available for Junior League of Louisville's Tulips and Juleps Art and Gift Market

We have two tickets to give away for the Junior League of Louisville's Tulips and Juleps Art and Gift Market February 23-24 at Slugger Field.

The event draws 55 vendors offering everything from home decor to food and clothing.

Tulips and Juleps is the Junior League of Louisville's signature fundraising event. Funds from this event help the group continue their 97-year legacy of training women in civic leadership, philanthropy and leadership development.

It also allows the Junior League to continue to focus on improving education for children in our community. The group works to distribute books through Dolly Parton's Imagination Library from birth through age five with a partnership with WAVE 3 News and Jefferson County Public Education Foundation helping to ensure children are kindergarten ready when the time comes. The Junior League also distributes 500 books each month through the Little Libraries, among many other service initiatives each year.

The first person to contact our office wins the tickets, which are valid for admission Friday or Saturday.
