Community Dental Care

full-sedental organization designed to increase access to health care in
communities with the goal of improving the overall health of the population.

A Healthy Journey for Two
Educational Baby Shower Tuesday, February 20 1 P.M. to 3 P.M. 4255 Hazelwood Ave A Healthy Journey for Two is an
educational baby shower open to any expectant mothers. The class will include a
range of information and resources, as well as free baby items, gift cards,
prizes, and snacks. Hosted by Seven Counties and KIDSNow. Fathers are welcome

A two-year study that
assesses Louisville’s current solid waste management system has been
finalized. The report recommends improvements and lays the groundwork as
the city works toward its goal of diverting 90 percent of the community’s solid
waste away from landfills by the year 2042.
The recommendations will be studied by Public Works,
Metro Council and the Louisville/Jefferson County Solid Waste District, with
additional public input, before any potential changes are made. Read the full report.

Louisville Metro Senior Nutrition Program invites young people
to create handmade Valentine's Day cards as part of the annual Love
Letters campaign. The cards will then be included in meal deliveries to Meals
on Wheels recipients and shared with other senior programs to help lift the
spirits of older adults in our community.
To donate cards to the local Meals
on Wheels program, drop off any weekday by Feb. 9 between 8 a.m.
and 5 p.m. at 701 W. Ormsby Ave. Suite 201. For further Information

is accepting applications through March 30th or until available funds have
been expended, whichever comes first. This year’s Crisis Program features
expanded eligibility for past due amounts in addition to those that have
received a disconnect notice. Residents wishing to apply must make an
appointment utilizing the automated appointment system. Schedule

service is available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.

Asset Building Coalition's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance, or VITA, and AARP
Tax Aide programs provide trained, IRS-certified volunteers to offer free tax
services at more than 20 sites across the city to individuals and families who
earned less than $64,000 in 2017. Appointments are recommended. For further

next phase of LWC work is between East Burnett Ave and Poplar Level
Rd. The west bound lanes of Eastern Parkway are closed and the road will
operate as two lanes. Lydia Street will be closed at Eastern Parkway. We expect

TreesLouisville,
in partnership with the Louisville Metro Division of Community Forestry,
is currently running a Tree Rebate Program as an incentive for homeowners
to plant more trees.
The Tree Rebate Program is
open to all residents of Jefferson County. Through the
program, participants can earn a rebate of 40 percent (up to $80) on the
purchase of a shade tree. Rebates will be awarded on a first-come,
